The African National Congress (ANC) has expressed satisfaction with the progress highlighted during the Gauteng State of the Province Address (SOPA), noting that it reflects the governing party’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of residents through enhanced safety, service delivery, and economic inclusion initiatives.
“The ANC is pleased with the progress highlighted in the Gauteng State of the Province Address (SOPA), which demonstrates the fulfilment of commitments to improve safety, service delivery, and economic inclusion across the province,” the party said in an official statement shared on its verified X account, @MYANC.
The statement follows Premier Panyaza Lesufi’s address, which showcased the provincial government’s strides in expanding community safety programmes, supporting township enterprises, and improving essential public services.
The ANC reaffirmed its support for the Gauteng Provincial Government’s efforts, calling the progress a reflection of “governance that prioritises the people’s needs and works tirelessly to achieve inclusive growth and social justice.”
