OPINION | A Distorted Revolution for Self-Enrichment
Building an institution of integrity and people of integrity in the midst of nothing left isn't a child's play . There's an African proverb that says "The House of a liar is not too far from fire"
The phase we are at indicates signs of a cross road. Gone are the times of thinking you are going to ride over social moral fibres or the history of those that comes before. The critical question is whether the revolution has been able to produce the calibre of the 0R Tambo s, Nelson Mandela s, Robert Sobukhwe s, Govern Mbeki s Steve Biko s etc from the current generation of leaders we are ? Remember our revolution has never been about our personalities, has never been about the violance against the people we serve, it has been about our ability collectively, about our Intellegance against outdated and unscientific ideas. It has been about the future of the nation, not about the future of a political party because we understand political parties as tools to be used to advance and consolidate the revolution in a structured way, not that the revolution cannot happen without them, so our absertion about the political parties we have must be tested against the wall whether theres any relationship between the current politics vs the politics of the masses we seek to lead. The rejections at the electoral poles , and the defiance of non attandence to electoral poles by above 55 percent resembles a majoritarian government born out of manority participatory democratic dispensation a crissis in waiting to explode. The multiciplit of political Africans dormint parties in the space are not just a symbol of political and ideological differences but a competition over political greediness usaping the state of vulnerability of the working, the poor and the marginalized as step ladders for self enrichment, this no difference from the multiplicity of established churches you see in the African communities ( oo nam ndiyakholwa churches ) May be these are consequences of not addressing the core and fundamental principles, eg why ist so easy in the African communities and thier political parties to elect a well known thurgg to preside over the lives of those who haven't even stolen a chicken isn't interesting this contrast ?
WHAT IS THE CONTENT OF OUR REVOLUTION ?
The last time I check we were an anti imperialist movement. The last time again I check we for the means of production and the means of ownership of key commanding sites of the economy hence the following.
Ours is for the Decolonisation of the, mind, the shared wealth of the country.
It is about the value results over rhetoric.
It is about the intellectual capacity of the nation to drive thier economic development.
It is about skills over rhetoric slogans.
It is about self correcting and self redeeming over the blind loyalty of clapping hands stupidity.
It is about differentiating between the interests of the masses and the interests of the elitist leaders because interests of the masses are not automatically interests of leaders.
It is about excellence over mediocrity.
It is about individual and collective capabilities not social mob justice characterized by noise making.
This is simple because when mediocrity triaph the excellence, poverty becomes permanent including poverty of ideas.
"When young people see that power is gained through party loyalty, and individualized loyalty not through knowledge and skills they have reason and case in loosing faith to the schooling system guess what because the system has made ignorance profitable and all of a sudden ignorance is a carear path a shame for all of us.
